Nam Thuan is founded; the first plant, NT1 in Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong, starts production with 200 jobs.

A people-centred business.
3,400 people across two plants are the reason Nam Thuan exists. We keep jobs stable, look after health and daily life, open paths to grow a craft, and stand with the communities around our factories.
- Monthly birthdays are celebrated together in the canteen; the union hands every employee flowers and a gift in person.
- The founders of the tailoring trade are honoured on the 12th of the last lunar month; management then opens the new year with the first stitch and the first cut.
- The Shelter of Love fund supports employees hit by hardship; management and the union visit the family at home to hand over the grant.
- The “Healthy Steps” fun run with the Thien Huong ward union in Thuy Nguyen, where Nam Thuan took the team award for entering the most runners.
